Sheep Flock Manager
- Required primarily to take responsibility for 1100 ewe upland flock.
- Desire & ability to assist with 100 suckler cows, some tractor work and other farm duties is also essential.

Primarily to take responsibility for the 1100 ewe stratified flock of mixed breeds. All husbandry and management tasks to be undertaken by the applicant with support from the owners.
The applicant must be able to maintain accurate and up to date records that comply with current requirements and therefore be comfortable to progress with related technology as necessary.
The applicant will be expected to assist with the care of 100 in wintered spring calving suckler cows. This will involve helping with most routine handling procedures, feeding and monitoring in the employer’s absence and providing a small amount of relief cover during calving if required.
Tractor experience would be desirable. The applicant should be capable of using a TMR feed wagon, a Manitou telehandler and other basic tractor work. The job offers the potential to incorporate further tractor work during certain times of year.
The ability to identify and carry out on going general farm maintenance work is also required. The farm is fairly well equipped with a variety of tools and machinery in order that most tasks can be carried out ‘in house’.

Full time hours plus one weekend on in two (seasonally variable).
Salary plus holidays in line with current agricultural wages board and applicants experience.
The job includes a spacious three bedroomed, double glazed, centrally heated cottage.
The heating is currently being completely renewed to provide an up to date, efficient dual fuel oil and wood fired system. There is a good sized garage/workshop with concrete floor, light and electricity to the rear of the cottage.
